Barking Peach
BARKING PEACH: Peach Bark Tincture
Supporting healthy immune and reaction responses.
Peach trees are native to China, originating in Persia and central Asia, but are now found around the globe in mild temperate climates. Here in the US, the State of Georgia is known as the “Peach State,” but our own home state of New Jersey comes out ahead of Georgia in peach production.
Peach is used as a nervine and a blood purifier, so for all you hot-headed, overly excited people who need a little cooling action in your life, peach bark just might be for you.
Frequently Sought After Information:
What is it made from?
Our peach bark tincture comes from the dried bark of our own cultivated Prunus persica tree.
How much do I take?
Take one dropper-full with 2 ounces of water or juice, three times per day as needed.
What else is in the tincture?
We use Prunus persica dried bark and certified gluten-free grain alcohol (190 proof) to make our tincture.
What do you feel when you use it?
You’ll feel a tingle under your tongue. It is astringent, so it will make your mouth feel a bit dry for a moment. The taste is a bit earthy with a peachy aftertaste.
Are there any use cautions?
- Keep out of reach of children.
- We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using herbal products, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.
- The leaf, twig, and pits are toxic in very large doses due to cyanide glycosides. Those with mitochondrial disorders like chronic fatigue should avoid usage unless under the care of their medical professional.
How should I store my bottle?
We recommend you store your bottle out of direct sunlight. Because of the alcohol base, your tincture will be good at room temperature for years.
